This is a demo of MoonshineJS, a library for transcribing audio and video sources in the browser, in real time. The demo code is open source and available on GitHub.

All audio processing happens locally on-device, which means:

• No Signup, No Fees. No account signup, credit card, or API access token needed.
• Always Available. The service will never vanish; you have everything you need locally, forever.
• Meaningful Privacy. You can offer your users real privacy guarantees.
• Easy Deployment. It can be run as a static site, just by copying files.

We're grateful to the team behind HuggingFace TransformersJS for the library that allows us to run the translation component of this demo, and the Helsinki NLP group for their Spanish to English and English to Spanish text-to-text translation models.
